Valentine's Day and Other Good Stuff

This year Dave and I celebrated V-day early since it was on a Sunday. I got a gift certificate from work to Olive Garden, so we decided to use it for V-day. We went on the Thursday before V-day to beat the love day rush. It was delicious and we got extra bread sticks. Heaven. It was a nice night and the rest of the weekend we stayed at Dave's parent's house because we were having internet issues at home and Dave was finishing up a translation. It was relaxing.

Anyway, on Sunday we made a nice dinner and Dave wrote me a sweet note that made me cry. He's a great husband. Normally when he writes love notes he makes jokes or is goofy but this was pure seriousness. It was lovely. Don't get me wrong, I love his goofy notes but this was a pleasant surprise.

Our fancy dinner

I gave Dave a shirt I designed, but couldn't wait until V-day to give it to him so he got it about a week before. If you look at the picture below you will see he has two of the same one. I made one last summer for his birthday with one of those iron-on patches, but as you can see, they don't do well in the wash. So I decided to go pro. I googled "how to make a shirt" and this company popped up, spreadshirt.com. It's super easy and a lot cheaper than I thought. As you're designing it, it shows the price increase depending on how much you add, etc. For designing and having them make just one shirt, it was under $20 and that included shipping too. It was awesome!

The good and the bad

So that was Valentine's Day in a nutshell. In other news, Dave and I are developing our puzzle making skills. Here are some of the puzzles we've made lately.
