"Little Bunny Foo Foo"

Oh Easter! I love it so much! This year I tried to incorporate the spiritual more along with the commercial aspects. We did a science experiment that represented Christ's atonement and how he takes our sins upon us so we can repent. And we made Resurrection Rolls for the first time which represented the empty tomb after Christ had risen. Both were really fun!

But of course there were the hunts and the baskets too. We had a ward activity. It was an Easter Egg Hunt/Pancake Dinner at a park. It was a lot of fun. After we ate, there were several egg hunt areas divided by age. There was also a small petting zoo. Dave and I participated in an egg toss. I stink at catching, so we were out after only a couple rounds. But fun was had by all.

The day after our ward activity we went to another egg hunt with friends at another park and then headed to my in-laws to watch General Conference. That night we dyed and decorated eggs. And Jocey got to stay the night with Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Jessi.

Then the next day was actual Easter. We woke up and we discovered that the Easter Bunny had come bearing goodies.

We went back to my in-laws for the whole day and the Easter Bunny had stopped by there too. We had candy galore.  And the girls played all day while we watched more General Conference.  It was a great day!

 Happy Easter!

Preschool Zoo Field Trip

Jocelyn and I have been doing Preschool/Joy School this past school year with 5 other families, all with little girls. She absolutely loves it. We went to the Folsom Zoo recently and the animals put on quite a show. Though some of the animals weren't out, there were peacocks everywhere spreading their feathers, the bears were in a playful mood splashing in their pool, the tigers were out resting, and they had a learning station where the girls could feel a cougar pelt. It's a small little animal sanctuary, the perfect size for a bunch of 4 year olds.
