I'm finally all caught up on my blog!! Hallelujah! Check out ALL the new posts below but first enjoy a few random pictures of life from the last few months.

I bought this wig  and glasses for my Halloween costume but I think Jocey looks much better in it.

Again another holiday I love, St. Patrick's Day. Here's the fun we had.

 We had green shamrock blueberry muffins and green eggs for breakfast.

We made a special snack, a rainbow with Fruit Loops and Marshmallows on a toothpick.

 For dinner we had corned beef, cabbage, carrots, potatoes, rolls, and sparkling cider.

I made a treasure hunt for us.  Jocelyn loved finding the clues.

The treasure was rolos at the bottom of the cup (gold) and skittles on top (rainbow).

Be Mine

I love Valentine's Day. Who am I kidding? I love all holidays. Anyway, back to Valentine's Day though. I love decorating and making fun food for my family. And of course you have to dress the part too. Here's our fun day.

A couple days before Valentine's Day, Jocey had a little exchange with some friends.  They decorated cookies and then passed out little goodies to each other.

These are the goodies I made for Jocelyn's exchange and for her preschool group. And here's my plug for Clearbags.  I used to work there and that's where I purchased the plastic sleeves to hold the M&Ms.  Love them!

We had pink and purple pancakes, pink eggs, and purple blueberry muffins for breakfast.  We ordered out from Olive Garden for lunch, and just had a simple dinner.

Quick Trip

In the beginning of February we headed to Utah for a quick trip. And we drove. I really didn't look forward to that long drive but it was fine. We got to see all the Ricks siblings and had a grand ol' time. We stayed with Josh and Tara and most nights were spent talking and playing games. One night we went to a BYU Men's Volleyball game. How did I not take any pictures??!! It was a ton of fun supporting my alma mater and I thoroughly enjoyed rocking to all the music that was played.

We also spent a morning at the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. So cool. Makes me even more excited for Jurassic World to come out. Check it out.

And this is what happened when she wanted to play and we moved on.  Can you say drama queen?  Luckily the people who came into the room next were Jake and Alissa so they didn't judge my parenting skills by just leaving her there to sulk.

I'm Officially Old

No offense to those who are older than me and still think of themselves as young, but I just hit a big milestone on January 23rd. Yes, I entered a new decade. The big 3-0. I don't feel differently but man, telling people I'm 30 just sounds so weird...and old.

Anyway, I wanted to have an 80's party and we invited some friends but only one couple ended up showing and they had to leave early. I didn't take it personally because everyone had legit excuses but I was kind of bummed. But the couple who showed up briefly, called another friend, who called a bunch of other friends and then all of sudden tons of people showed up. It became a girls' night which was awesome and it was a lot of fun! I'm so grateful for good friends. Thanks for making me feel special!

I really think I was supposed to be a teenager in the 80's and not just a kid.  I would have loved it.

And Dave made me a book with notes from a bunch of friends and I loved it and the trip down memory lane it provided. Thanks everyone! It was a great day!

San Fran Trip

As mentioned in the previous post, the week of New Years we did a lot of fun family outings. The first two outings were documented in the last post. Our third outing was to San Francisco. I've only been there a couple times so it was fun to do some more exploring.

We hit up the wharf of course, Pier 39. Jocey got to ride on a carousel with daddy.  Mike and Weslie also went for a spin. And we watched the sea lions and checked out some pretty cool shops.

I feel it's necessary to take a picture of Alcatraz whenever we visit, though I have yet to actually go over to the island and explore the prison.

We had lunch at Hard Rock Cafe. We went to Ghiradelli and got some chocolate. And my favorite was Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum! So cool!

 

I don't even remember who this is (yeah, yeah shame on me for not being a sports fanatic) but it was one of the only pictures with Jocey.

The cool thing is Dave could actually play for Elton.  He knows some of his songs.  Bam!

Dad Ricks and Emma were on this trip too. Don't know why most of the pictures are of just Dave and I.  Oh wait, probably because, "we're so vain." ;)

Anyway, I wonder what we'll discover on our next trip!?
